A lot is happening in this East End community. The Larimer Consensus Group and the Larimer Green Team have been working hard to bring access to food and agriculture to this neighborhood. Miss Betty Lane manages the African Healing Garden and—with Miss Donna—is a force behind a lot of the efforts to bring change through food.
A big victory is the addition of a new monthly Farmers Market—3-7 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of every month, June 23, July 28, Aug. 25, Sept. 22, Oct. 27 and Nov. 24. Larimer Avenue Greenspace at Larimer Avenue and Carver Street.
There are a number of projects in development to move Larimer forward and to shape its future. Food is a big part of this vision, so look out for more to come.
